I don't know of anything nearly as large and comprehensive around here as your Science Festival. We have annual science conventions for teachers, but they are more about teachers sharing than the high level of presentations at your festival. I am ffoxworth on Twitter. Looking forward to continuing to learn!

SciFest sounds like it was fascinating! I enjoyed listening to Chris Smith's podcast. He did a great job explaining the purpose of SciFest. I hope you will get to take some students next year!

Hi Brenda
Thanks for your kind comments!
It's a bit worrying that you were able to view their individual photos so easily! I'll have to look in to that......but then of course only those reading this blog or whom I've accepted as admin or individ. members would know the URL. The girls sign an internet agreement form and a few may not add their pictures to their wiki pages. Have you read more recent entries for Veritas Vibes?

Hi Caro, I just came back to read your blog. My word it's a treasure trove. You have obviously got into it in a big way.
Your wiki is great too. It says it's protected but I was able to click on learners names and view photos of them. How does the protection thing work and do you have to get permission from parents for them to publish their photos online? It's really interesting.

Thanks Carolynn for telling me about how you are using Wikispaces with your students to work on collaborative projects. Have you tried monitoring the entire space using RSS into Google Reader? You may find it a bit easier than email?

Hi Daniel why don't you consider joining one of my wikis? I'm doing a family history wiki with my Grade 6's - if you're interested I'll send you the project link and you can think about it!
Hello! I stumbled upon your blog through the international edubloggers' list.

I read as you described you time and success with your history wiki. I would love to hear more about it as I struggle to find strong reasons to wiki with my fifth graders in Illinois.

Hi Carolynn,
I am deeply touched by your blog post and very pleased that you "received a great deal of energising co-operative learning in the past few months". Please let me know what time would be suitable time for you GMT time so I can organize a session on WiZiQ. I'm sure others would benefit from the time change, too.

Thank you.

Warm wishes,
Nellie
